Reason #1 It's becoming Illegal
22 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands prohibit ALL drivers from using handheld cellphones while driving. All are primary enforcement laws. Meaning, an officer can write you a ticket for using your phone even without any other traffic offense taking place. Reason #2 It's dangerous
Okay, so we all know that you should not use your phone while driving. However, most still use their phone in the car, using maps, checking messages, listening to music, taking phone calls etc....
Unfortunately, this kind of warning is heeded about as much as, “you should not stay up late because it can be really harmful to your health” It’s like “duh” but I can’t sleep. The same applies here: you shouldn’t use your phone while driving, but you’re going to. You need it.
The thing is, these warnings have a certain amount of truth to them and if you are one of those who totally ignore them, then you might be putting yourself in danger.
Fortunately, humans are intelligent (some of us lol) enough to invent things to reduce risk. For example, a phone car mount, designed to hold your device in the optimal position for safe viewing of the screen while driving. So, the only question left to answer is: If the market is flooded with cheap and unreliable phone car mounts, which one should you buy?
Reason #3 Where the hell else do you even put your phone?
The cup holder, the dashboard, in between your legs? No. It’s kind of self explanatory that there is no other really good place to put your phone. Just mount that bad boy.
So now that we established that you probably need a phone mount, the question is which one? Well, it needs to have a super strong grip so it doesn’t drop your 1000$ phone. It can’t be big, clunky & ugly because that will make your interior look ugly. If you’re like us, you spend too much time in your car for the interior to be ugly. It should also be simple to install. You’re not a truck driver, you’re just looking for added convenience & safety.
If you can find a mount that fits this criteria, go for it! However, we think it's unlikely.
